FESTIVAL FASHION INSPIRATION FOR A FOLLOWER

FESTIVAL FASHION INSPO.jpg

Hello Everyone

MMI was approached by one of my followers called  Marlene who commented on my post ON THE BLOG THIS WEEK asking for some advice on what to wear to a festival.

Hi TFS, Firstly I must say I love your stuff and this blog…..🙌
So I need your help…..
I’m going to a ‘Christian’ Glastonbury (BCDO Festival) end of the month and I’ve never been to any type of festival before… It’s a 3 day event and I will be Glamping. I really need your advice on what I should be wearing on a VERY tight budget, ideally hoping to be able to use stuff I would already have in my wardrobe.. ( probably asking the impossible) with maybe a few affordable festival pieces you suggest I buy.. P.s as its a Christian event I’m going for less flesh on show, so more modest yet still stylish…..
Please can you help?

In response to Marlene’s comment, I set about creating 3 Festival Fashion outfits. A bit of a challenge as I was as much in the dark about what’s in her wardrobe as the clothes. However I love a challenge and  I have based the outfits on what I believe are in most fashion conscious peoples wardrobes… forgive me if I am wrong. I have mainly focused on accessories that she can purchase, which can be found inexpensively on the high street. In addition, Marlene had some restrictions such as  no flesh showing, which I have respected. I have also kept the weather in mind, since we can never be too sure in the UK but I will pray for sun.

Take a look at her 3 bespoke styled outfits.

A floral maxi dress will look great with a pair of ankle boots and  oversized denim jacket. Style this set with gold bangles a fringed bag and circular sunnies.

Marlene is this something you would wear? I chose this outfit for you as I felt everyone had a patterned maxi dress in their wardrobe a denim jacket and black ankle boots. So you  hopefully only need to buy accessories to get this look.

You cant go wrong in boyfriend or girlfriend jeans at a festival teamed with an off the shoulder top. This outfit is casual chic and most importantly comfortable. Style up with colourful accessories such as the tassel earrings from Mango. Add some texture with a fringed back pack and don’t forget the obligatory straw fedora hat.

This outfit felt like a safe option if your on a budget. Everyone owns a pair of jeans so this seemed like an obvious choice and can be worn regardless of weather conditions. The gladiator sandals have never really been out of fashion in the last 5 years so I have picked these tanned ones. Alternatively if you don’t own a pair they can be bought almost anywhere, plus they will keep you trending for future summers to come. I love off the shoulder / bardot tops and these are super stylish for spring summer and you wouldn’t look out of place at a festival. Primark do so amazing ones for £8. Just a shame they haven’t an online store.

GEO SHIRT DRESS.jpg
Team a cute 60’s inspired geo dress with wellies and long socks to minimise flesh on show, whilst staying bang on trend. Wear with a military jacket and fedora if the weather takes a turn for the worse but look super cute in geo and green.

This outfit is likely to be one you may have to purchase. However the accessories used are from your day one set, so no need to buy more as they look great with this outfit. What do you think?
p.s Dont forget your camera, it would be great to see what you bought and how you wore it.

Have a great time and happy shopping.
If your are going to an event like Marlene and not sure what to wear, please feel free to get in contact.
