How To Wear Leather Jackets

Leather Jackets. I know, I know, they have been around for years. but I have had a dear love for them since I was about 10, when I begged my Mother to buy me a knee length swing style one

I thought that my life would suddenly improve if I wore a leather jacket…And I was literally 100% Right

with a faux fur collar. Retrospectively thinking, the style was a major fashion faux par….Hmmm maybe not for the 90’s???

LJ ME1Leather Jackets are for all ages, not just for the reckless rock chick. However I know some over 40’s who have other ideas and think a leather jacket will make them look like mutton dressed as lamb…Wrong! Hopefully this post will change their minds.

Leather Jackets are a great transitional item, perfect for spring time weather when its not quite warm enough to go outside without a coat or jacket, but suitable for when it’s not that cold. They used to be quite expensive, but they are now relatively affordable. I have a couple from Zara ranging from £60-120. Leather Jackets are a great fashion investment, and a classic item that never dates. They are also very versatile, in that you can wear it with the majority of your wardrobe.

Why not be a bit out there, and rock a red leather jacket. This looks amazing with a black and white stripe top and black jeans for a bold trendy look.

Invest in a tan leather jacket, if it ever should happen that you get bored of black. Tan looks great with navy. This look is most certainly elegant with the crisp white shirt.

This look definitely depicts my personal style. Pair a leather jacket and joggers with plain white pumps for a sports luxe street style look.

Understandably some people do not like to wear leather. Fear not, there are some great faux leather jackets to cater to vegan fashionistas.
