The Reiss AW17 Press Day gave a sneak peek for the season ahead. One of my favourite privileges of styling and blogging is to spy on the upcoming trends and styles.
Let me set the scene…with pictures of course.
On entering the show rooms as the plush Reiss HQ it was easy to forget this was a high street brand. You can immediately see why Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, and fashionista Olivia Palermo are fans of this brand.
A mixture of luxurious textures, simple silhouettes and influences from our favourites decades such as 80’s featuring frills and the 90’s inspired feminine vs masculine dressing of bold blazers and biker jackets.
Subtle floral prints featured throughout the collection, these made for great transitional pieces when layered with tailored blazers.
HOT FOR REISS AW17
- Best of British heritage was reintroduced, think manor estate with herringbone and check.
- Wool for winter was heavily featured with sophiscated co-ords, wollen wide leg trousers in bold colours.
- Velvet and lace was significant throughout which offering the perfect party pieces.
Shearling, furs and leather signpost style for the winter season, available in neutral, and rich chocolate tones with some pieces offering two luxurious looks in one with reversible lining.
Reiss AW17 Footwear
Footwear was sleek, and designed to contour the foot with a 90’s influence. Satin heels, high vamped lined heels and streamlined Kim K inspired boots.
Reiss AW17 Accessories
Accessories were re- fashioned from their SS17 collection and branding stripped back, instigating some mystery amongst the accessories collection.
There were so many pieces that I would love to click and add to basket, but I still need to complete my summer wardrobe, even though the weather has not been inspiring.
Reiss AW17 stock should start in appearing in stores late Summer. In the meantime why not check out Reiss x Laura Fantacci Guest Editor for her top SS17 picks.
